One of the priorities of Timberline Events races is to involve the local communities since they are gracious enough to allow our relays to pass through their area. Timberline Events did this by creating the Volunteers With A Purpose program. Instead of providing volunteers to staff the exchanges, teams can choose the option of making a donation to Volunteers With A Purpose. These funds go into a pool and are distributed to the local grass-root non-profit organizations that volunteer to assist with the relay as a fund-raising opportunity.

Through our events in 2006, Timberline Events has raised and distributed $31,000 to local non-profit organizations in Colorado and Vermont. For more information, please read this article.

Timberline Events also believes in a supporting environmental organizations. Therefore, we have joined 1% For the Planet. One percent of our revenue each year is donated to environmental organizations.
